CHAMS Nigeria Plc, a leading enterprise and technology solutions provider has been appointed by Starcomms Nigeria Limited as an agent for the collection of its Internet subscription fees. The innovative service would enable all subscribers to the Starcomms Internet service to pay their subscriptions electronically via the CHAMS Access Service Terminal (CAST) network at any convenient time or hour in any part of the country.

Speaking on the roll-out plan, Mr. Hassan Jichi , Technical Sales coordinator Starcomms says it is geared at satisfying the growing demand of their customers spread across major cities in Nigeria; making it necessary to propose a bills payment option that would operate round the clock and one which could function without any human interface providing a safe means of remitting all dues from subscribers in record time and the CAST met all the requirements. 

According to Jichi, CAST would drive profitability by automating the payment process in addition to providing customer service calls in remote locations leading to greater customer satisfaction and improved service delivery.

Dr Kazeem Durodoye, Deputy Managing Director CHAMS added that CHAMS has a solutions-oriented approach to the problems prevalent with bills collection and is poised to deliver enterprise solutions to solve business problems peculiar to mid-sized companies.

Durodoye revealed that CHAMS has positioned its network of CAST nationwide to enable it provide strategic value-added services intrinsic to the CHAMS Access Service Terminal, which makes it a relevant technology in a class of its own.

The innovative CHAMS Access Service Terminal automates and optimizes payment processes to help reduce labor costs, improve facility utilization, increase transaction accuracy and provide innovative services to customers. It supports the use of both the CHAMS card and the Nigerian Debit Card to facilitate payment.

Other value-added services that are accessible on CAST include e-ticketing, telephony; recharge card vending, online bill payment, online banking services, multimedia message service, Internet services, static and electronic advertisement.
